IRD Extends Deadline
The IRD are completing the final release of their business transformation (updating the super computer) program starting 3p.m. on Thursday 21 October.
The IRD system (and the phone lines) will all be down until Thursday 28 October. During this time you will not be able to login to myIR, file GST returns from Xero or do any payroll filing. However you can still make payments to the IRD via your internet banking.
Due to this, the IRD have extended the filing of GST returns and payment of GST and provisional tax (if you have it) out to 4 November. For payroll information that would have have due that week, the deadline is 29 October. For more details click here
