The IRD scammers are back
but this time the emails are looking very real!
In the last 24 hours we have had a number of clients who have contacted us about an email received from the “IRD” about a refund due. The email looks very very convincing even down to the wording and having other IRD articles in it.
So much is the realism, the IRD have issued a public warning which has been picked up by the Stuff media website .. click here to read the article and see an example of the email and the errors that it contains.
DON’T DON’T whatever you do DON’T click on any of the links in the email as that will spark off a chain of events that will be very hard to undo. Only action is to delete it.
If you have clicked on a link please contact your IT/computer expert immediately and do not use your computer until it has been looked at.
