ALERT – Ransonware
Following on from our previous post on invoice scamming, Waikato DHB, St Peters College, other colleges and kindergartens have all been in the news recently for being attacked by ransomware and the upheaval that it causes.
What we don’t hear of are the small business attacks that do occur. Talking with our insurer and our IT companies, they are seeing a significant increase in clients that have been attacked.
So you don’t have to be big business to be targeted so we recommend that you do some upskilling on ransomware and ensure that your systems are protected … and a note – just because you are in the cloud does not mean you are protected!
